China to reduce army down to 1 million

Almaty. July 13. Silkroadnews – China will reduce the number of personnel in the People’s Liberation Army from 2.3 million down to 1 million people, news portal The News Minute wrote.
“China will cut down its present military force of 2.3 million, the world’s largest army, to below one million, the biggest troop reduction in the People’s Liberation Army’s history”, report reads.
The army’s structure, as reported, will be reformed based on China’s strategic goals. With this though the number of troops in the navy, strategic support forces and rocket forces will be increased, and the number of air forces personnel will remain the same.
