Beijing. Jul 18. Silkroadnews - China’s tax authority said the local authorities have been ordered to strengthen tax discipline in the film and television industries, “People’s Daily” writes.
Companies and personnel in the sector should honestly pay due taxes, as required by law, the statement by the State Administration of Taxation says.
The industry should indicate actual, not fictitious, amounts in value-added tax invoices.
Tax authorities will take back the tax rebate from taxpayers if the reduction they received is found to be against the rules, the report reads.
Local tax authorities will improve the taxation of revenue sources in the film industry, coordinating efforts with other government agencies and helping to strengthen the financial system.
As the statement says, the administration also asked to strictly comply with the policy of tax incentives and measures to support the healthy development of the film industry through the taxation process.
