Almaty. August 31. Silkroadnews – China will start developing a high-speed “flying” train, the newspaper “People’s Daily” reported.
At the 3rd China International Forum for Commercial Cosmonautics, a representative of the China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC) announced a project to develop a high-speed “flying” train. The train will be developed using the Hyperloop technology and will work on supersonic transport system. The maximum speed can be up to 4000 km/h, the report said.
According to the CASIC official, the “flying” train operation does not depend on the weather conditions, it does not consume fossil energy sources, it can easily be connected to the subway in cities.
The publication says, at the moment three companies expressed a desire to engage in the development of high-speed transport, which can develop a speed above 1000km/h, they are the U.S. HTT and Hyperloop One and China’s CASIC.
The development is expected to be carried out in three stages: construction of a regional transport network with a speed of 1000 km/h on city level, construction of urban transport at a speed of 2000 km/h on state level, and the third stage will be the construction of a transport network at a speed of 4000 km/h within One Belt, One Road initiative.
