China urges U.S. to objectively treat Chinese investments

Silkroadnews - China calls on the United States to objectively treat business activities of enterprises and create a good, fair and predictable environment for Chinese enterprises investing in the U.S., People’s Daily Online quotes Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang saying.
The statement followed the reports that the U.S. plans to use an emergency law to restrict the companies that belong to the Chinese with 25% or more ownership from the possibility of acquiring the U.S. companies operating with what the White House considers to be “industrially significant technologies”.
The Chinese government ensures that Chinese enterprises follow the market and international rules, and implement external investment and cooperation, respecting local laws, Geng said, adding that economic and trade investment cooperation between China and the United States is the win-win cooperation.
Geng also noted, the investment of Chinese enterprises has created a large number of jobs and tax revenues in the U.S. and created opportunities for expanding the external business of American companies.
