China will create an industrial park in Belarus

Almaty. July 11. Silkroadnews – Gansu Province (Northwest China) will create an industrial zone in Belarus, “People’s Daily” writes.

“Commercial department of Gansu province and administration of the Belarusian free economic zone (FEZ) “Grodnoinvest” have signed a memorandum of cooperation, according to which Gansu province to build an industrial park in the Grodno region. The parties have also decided to create a company responsible for the industrial park’ design and construction, land management and real estate, economic issues, consulting services provision, attraction of businesses and investments, etc.”, the publication says.

According to Sergey Tkachenko, head of FEZ “Grodnoinvest” administration, the region of Grodno serves as important part of the Silk Road; the construction of Chinese-Belarusian industrial park is being carried rapidly.
The newspaper reminds, at the end of this June the government delegation of Gansu province visited Belarus, as a result of visit the parties signed eight documents on cooperation in trade and economic, educational, health, tourism and other fields.

S. Tkachenko expressed hope that the sides will continue to exchange visits, establish business contacts and share information, improve the efficiency of investments, reduce risks associated with exchange rate fluctuations and come to win-win cooperation model.
