China will deploy 10 demining projects and provide the African Union military aid by $100 million

Almaty. September 29. Silkroadnews - Chinese President Xi Jinping at the UN headquarters in New York, took part in the peacekeeping UN summit and made a speech, reported Chinese media.
He stressed that China adheres to the basic principles of peacekeeping and will continue to be guided by the UN Charter and the principles of Hammarskjold.
Thus, China is willing to join the new system of UN peacekeeping forces, for it will operate a permanent contingent of police and peacekeeping forces consisting of 8 thousand soldiers.
In addition, China will actively consider the request of the United Nations towards a larger number of engineering, transport and medical personnel to participate in peacekeeping operations. Over the next 5 years, China will prepare 2 thousand peacekeepers from other countries, will deploy 10 demining projects as well as provide the African Union grant military aid worth $100 million.
The peacekeeping UN summit attended by leaders of 70 countries and international organizations or their representatives.
