China will hold the largest in 60 years military reform
Almaty. November 27. Silkroadnews - President Xi Jinping announced the launch of the reform of the Armed forces of the country on the American model with the creation of a unified military command, reported Xinhua news agency.
The reform is planned to combine all kinds of forces under a unified military command, which will be created by 2020, and to create "elite combat units".
According to the chairman of the PRC, the army will create a new disciplinary structure, as well as new political and legal committees, which will guarantee the rule of law.
The reforms will be the most ambitious in the past 60 years.
Military reform project envisages the creation of a unified command for the Chinese army, navy, air force and missile forces. It is also planned to reduce the number of officers and traditional ground combat arms while enhancing the role of the Air Force and Navy as more attuned to the management of modern warfare.
