China will invest more than $180 billion to improve the access to the Internet in rural areas
Almaty. May 20. Silkroadnews - China published a plan according to which in the coming years, hundreds of billions of yuan will be invested to increase access to the broadband Internet in rural areas, reported Xinhua news agency.
According to the document, China will speed up the construction of high-speed broadband Internet and improve access to the Internet in more than 14 thousand villages in the end of 2015.
By the end of 2017 the average speed of wired broadband internet in major cities will reach 30 Mbit/s, which is three times faster than the current speed, the figure in the small towns will be 20 Mbit/s.
As indicated in the document, the Chinese telecom market will become more open and competitive.
