Almaty. December 13. Silkroadnews - China will keep 2018 GDP target at around 6.5%, The Straits Times reported.
China will likely set its 2018 economic growth target at around 6.5 per cent, unchanged from the previous year. It is expected that in 2018 China will rely more on such factors of economic growth as technology innovation, the report said.
At the same time, it is noted that China regularly sets an annual growth target, to which the market is oriented to determine how much the government will stimulate the economy throughout the year.
The proposed target will be approved by the top leaders of China at the closed Central Economic Work Conference in mid-December, and then announced at the annual congress in early 2018.
China has lowered its target for 2017 to about 6.5% compared to 6.5-7% of the previous year, but its investment growth in infrastructure and real estate contributed to an unexpected economic growth.
