Almaty. October 9. Silkroadnews - China works on a "road map" of the development of new energy sources, reports the China Radio International, citing deputy head of the department of new and renewable sources of energy Shi Lishan.
It is noted that for the total installed capacity of wind turbines, China is recognized as the world leader. The wind farm is the third largest source of electricity in the country after the thermal and hydroelectric power plants. However, some wind farms face challenges such as lack of use of wind power and low profitability.
The head of the corporation Qiao Baopin in his speech at the joint scientific symposium on the development of wind energy in Beijing said that the domestic wind power is still in its infancy.
Meanwhile, the CEO of China's largest enterprises for the development of wind energy, the electricity corporation "Lunyuan Dyanli" Enya Lee noted that in light of the program for saving energy and reducing emissions of pollutants,  wind power plants must assign a special status.
He also proposed to establish a mechanism for comprehensive coordination of energy agencies and conservation, forestry, maritime authorities, which are closely linked with the process of the development of wind energy.
