Chinese army introduced the joint forces of logistic support

Almaty. September 14. Silkroadnews – The joint logistic support forces have been set in the Chinese People's Liberation Army, China Daily writes.

The President of the People's Republic of China and the Chairman of the Central Military Commission Xi Jinping presented the flags to commander and other senior officers of the joint logistics support base in Wuhan and logistics support centers in Guilin, Xining, Wuxi, Zhengzhou and Shenyang. He said, the establishment of these military forces is essential «to form the world-class highest level forces to win under the current local conflicts».

“Establishment of the logistic support joint forces is in line of the PLA Command reforms”, said Yang Yujun, spokesperson for China's Ministry of National Defense.

As a part of the reform the former PLA General Staff, Chief Political Administration, Chief Administration of Logistics, Chief Administration for Armament have been converted into 15 military and administrative agencies that report directly to the Central Military Commission of the PRC. The reorganization of the PLA Second Artillery Corps into the Rocket Force and establishment of a new formation – the Strategic Support Force – were announced in early January of this year. The PLA regional control system was reorganized in February: five zones of military command were established instead of seven military districts.

The logistic support joint forces’ tasks include the combat service support.
