Chinese authorities confirmed information on two Chinese citizens kidnapped by unknown people in the Pakistani city of Quetta

Almaty. May 25. Silkroadnews – Chinese embassy in Pakistan confirmed information on two Chinese citizens kidnapped by unknown armed men in the city of Quetta in the southwest of Pakistan, the newspaper “People’s Daily” writes.
“The Chinese side is trying to find out the details on the incident and the abducted persons. The embassy called on the Pakistani side to rescue the abductees as soon as possible”, the publication says.
As local media reported with reference to Deputy Inspector General of Quetta police, the kidnappers, threatening with weapons, forced the Chinese to board a vehicle and drove away with them. The kidnapped man and woman were returning from the restaurant in the Jinnah area of Quetta, the administrative center of the province of Balochistan.
The report says, kidnappers were initially taking away three Chinese including two women and the man, but a passerby helped one of the women escape.
The passerby got injured in a shootout and was taken to the nearest hospital where police recorded his statement for investigation.
No group has claimed responsibility for the kidnapping yet.
