Chinese authorities require information about cases of detection of HIV / AIDS in schools
Almaty. August 11. Silkroadnews - China has demanded the schools in the country to establish a system of information on cases of detection of HIV-infected and AIDS patients among students, reported Xinhua news agency.
Authorities urged local departments of health and education to strengthen education, establish a system of informing on cases of detection of HIV / AIDS and to form a mechanism for regular consultations for the analysis of the causes of infection and the development of response actions.
Also, the Chinese authorities have called for adequate protection of the confidentiality of infected students.
As noted, the secondary school students and older must attend a special session on HIV / AIDS with a focus on the prevention of risky behavior, sexual responsibility and morality.
Voluntary counseling and testing for HIV / AIDS should be improved and educational institutions should encourage students who are at risk, to use such services.
