Chinese businessmen will actively participate in the privatization of Kazakhstani enterprises - Chinese Ambassador

Almaty. January 28. Silkroadnews – The Chinese businessmen will actively participate in the privatization of Kazakhstani enterprises, said the Chinese Ambassador to Kazakhstan Zhang Hanhuey.
“Chinese enterprises show growing interest in investing into Kazakhstan. So now we have a lot of companies requesting information about privatization in Kazakhstan. I think that on a reciprocal basis, the basis of the mutually beneficial cooperation, the Chinese entrepreneurs will actively participate in the privatization in the construction sector and economy of Kazakhstan as a whole,” - KazTAG quoted Mr. Hanhuey on Thursday.
According to him, currently 52 projects to the total amount of $24 billion are being considered under development, and their number continues to grow.
“As for the production capabilities transfer, we have recorded 52 projects for a total amount of 24 billion US dollars. Of course, this number is growing. I believe at the end of the year we will see a completely new figure. The most important thing here is the implementation stage rather than a signing of papers only. Very soon the construction of several projects will start”, - the ambassador said.
According to him, Kazakhstan has a “very good environment” for foreign investors.
At the same time, he found it difficult to say how many Chinese companies show their interest in the implementation of projects in Kazakhstan or participation in privatization.
