Chinese company joined MIT initiative to promote AI research
Beijing. March 3. Silkroadnews - SenseTime, a leading Chinese artificial intelligence (AI) company said it joined the initiative launched by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to advance research in the field of human and machine intelligence, Xinhua reports.
According to SenseTime, the cooperation is aimed at opening new opportunities in such areas as computer vision, algorithms based on human intelligence, medical imaging and robotics.
SenseTime is the first company to join the Intelligence Quest initiative since its launch last month.
“Valued at more than 3 billion U.S. dollars, SenseTime has developed a sophisticated proprietary deep learning platform and built applications for multiple industries. The company is currently working on developing autonomous driving, intelligent medical treatment, and deep learning hardware optimization,” the report reads.
