Chinese Didi wants to raise $1.6 billion on assets-backed securities

Beijing. March 19. Silkroadnews - Subdivision of the Chinese company Didi Chuxing, which provides taxi and private drivers services, has applied to raise 10 billion yuan ($1.6 billion) through issuing asset-backed securities.
According to the statement published on the website of the Shanghai Stock Exchange, the funds will be raised by Dirun (Tianjin) Technology Co Ltd, the only shareholder of Dirun is Didi Chuxing.
In December Didi said it had raises $4 billion to support its foreign expansion.
Starting from April 1 Didi is also going to launch a meal delivery business in the eastern city of Wuxi.
