Chinese sailors allowed to land at Indian ports

Beijing. February 27. Silkroadnews - Chinese sailors have been allowed to land at India's ports for rest for the first time in decades, China Plus reports.
Ten sailors from the Chinese cargo ship “Houston” went ashore at the port in Mumbai on Sunday for a rest.
According to Zheng Xiyuan, China’s General Consul to Mumbai, because of the danger of terrorism and other problems, the crews of ships and boats from China and some other countries were prohibited to landing at the Indian ports.
China and India have long coastlines. More than 70% of freight traffic in India is completed by sea. Marine transports in China accounts for 90% of total foreign trade.
Last year, bilateral trade between China and India reached $80 billion.
