Chinese scientists have developed a method of growing rice, suppressing growth of weeds
Almaty. December 11. Silkroadnews - Chinese scientists have developed a method of growing rice, suppressing the growth of weeds, “People’s Daily” reported.
“Chinese scientists have developed a new kind of non-transgenic rice that grows well with weed control methods at a test field in Shenzhen, southern China’s Guangdong province, Science and Technology Daily reported,” the report said.
It is explained that the processing of rice fields using new technique will allow to remove the weeds once and for all, without causing any harm to rice.
According to the scientists, “he breakthrough is expected to increase the value of production of each mu, or 0.067 hectares of rice field, by 120 to 300 yuan ($45),” the agency wrote.
The test of the clean growing mode has successfully passed in different regions of the country, including Sichuan, Guangdong and Anhui. The method can also be used for cultivation of wheat, corn and rape.
In addition, the team of scientists has already agreed on cooperation with research institutes, seed producers and agrochemical companies to introduce and promote a new methodology.
