Chinese vice prime minister called for use of technological innovations in agriculture

Beijing. May 28. Silkroadnews - China’s Vice Premier Hu Chunhua called for facilitating use of technological innovation to modernize the country’s agricultural sector, Xinhua reports.
Hu made the statement during an inspection tour to the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
Agricultural tech innovation should be treated as the core in agricultural and rural development, and favorable policies should be made to support it, the agency cited his saying.
He also noted, the mechanism for assessing scientific research in the agricultural sector should be improved so that research results could be more easily implemented.
