CIS countries in foreign trade turnover of Tajikistan occupy 45%
Almaty. December 25. Silkroadnews - Tajikistan's foreign trade in the CIS countries occupy 45%, reports the Tajik news agency (TajikTA).
"The lower chamber of the Tajik parliament ratified today the agreement on free trade zone, which was signed in the framework of CIS in 2011. It was noted that the agreement will increase trade turnover between the CIS countries, with which the country is closely linked economically. In the foreign trade turnover of Tajikistan CIS countries occupy 45% of the total", - said in the paliament.
During the first 11 months of this year the index of trade turnover with CIS countries decreased by 13.6%. Among CIS countries, the bulk of the turnover of Tajikistan fell to Russia and Kazakhstan. Trade with these countries also decreased by 7.6% and 18%, respectively.
The agreement on free trade zone forsees trade facilitation, free movement of capital and goods. The agreement also provides the sale of goods in view of sanitary and phytosanitary requirements.
