Citizens of Kyrgyzstan will be able to enter Russia and Kazakhstan using new ID-cards

Almaty. May 31. Silkroadnews – Citizens of Kyrgyzstan will be able to enter Russia and Kazakhstan using new national identification cards (ID cards) of 2017 model, the Kyrgyz foreign ministry reported.
“The Russian and Kazakhstani sides confirmed the identification cards – passports of Kyrgyzstan’s citizens of 2017 – are recognized as travel documents for entry/exit and stay on the territory of Russia and Kazakhstan”, the report said.
The Foreign Ministry officials reminded, the agreement on mutual visa-free travel of citizens was signed between the governments of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan in Minsk on November 30, 2000. In addition, a “note agreement” was signed between the Foreign Ministries of Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Kazakhstan, also providing for mutual visits of citizens on the terms of the agreement reached 17 years ago.
Free replacement of ID-cards, as it was reported, will last from May to December 31, 2017.
