Coal production in Tajikistan in the last 7 months increased by 18%

Almaty. August 6. Silkroadnews - Coal mining in Tajikistan in the last 7 months amounted to 400 thousand tons, which is 18% more than the same period last year, reports the Tajik news agency on Thursday.
According to the ministry, from extracted this year coal about 352 thousand tons have already been sold to consumers.
Increased coal production in Tajikistan is associated with the transition of large industrial enterprises of the country from natural gas to this type of solid fuel.
Currently, in coal mining of the country engaged more than 160 companies.
The total volume of deposits of coal in Tajikistan to date are estimated at 4.5 billion tons.
