Common electricity market of the CU countries will be created in 2019
Astana. December 5. Silkroadnews - Total electricity market of the Customs Union (CU) will be created in 2019, reports KazTAG citing Deputy Energy Minister Bakhytzhan Dzhaksaliev.
According to him, the Kazakh side fulfills the necessary changes to national legislation and other documents.
"We have electricity production today about 82 billion kW/h per year. And consumption today is a little less than 81 kW/h, that is, the overall balance of positive and we continue to export electricity to neighboring countries, in particular to the Russian Federation", - he said.
"The country today has about 20 thousand MW of installed capacity and power of these require serious work on its modernization and at the same time we have going construction of new facilities. Government of Kazakhstan in this year adopted a new concept of development of the electric power industry to 2030, which shows an increase in the generation of electricity",- he concluded.
