Almaty. July 15. Silkroadnews – The meeting of the joint commission of Iran and a group of six world powers on the implementation of the nuclear deal will be held in Vienna on July 19, TASS reports.

According to Russian Permanent Representative to the International Organizations in Vienna Vladimir Voronkov, the major topics of the meeting will focus on the problems with surplus enriched uranium and compliance with the limits of heavy water stocks.

“There are two issues that need to be addressed”, he said. “These are the difficulties with enriched uranium accumulated during the enrichment in the pipes and other devices. What has been discovered exceeds the allowed limit of 300 kilograms. And the second issue is heavy water”, said V. Voronkov.

He added that Russia “is dealing with the matter whether to buy” heavy water from Iran or not, to make sure that Tehran remains within the limits set by the nuclear deal. As V. Voronkov explained, “there is a fundamental desire to negotiate the issue, so far it is a question of a one-time purchase”.

“I think the Chinese and American sides will brief the participants on the progress in the planned conversion of the Arak nuclear facility into a light-water reactor. For our part, we will tell them how the Fordow project is proceeding,” he added.

According to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Tehran has destroyed the old reactor core at Arak; the object reconstruction parameters will be developed jointly with China and U.S. It is assumed the capacity shall not exceed 20 megawatts.

The agreement also states the enrichment plant in Fordow to be redesigned in Nuclear, Science and Technology Center with not more than 1044 of uranium enrichment centrifuges of the first generation to be left. At the same time, within 15 years Iran is allowed to use 348 centrifuges only for stable isotopes production.
