Construction of the Iranian section of the Iran-Turkmenistan-Kazakhstan railway is completed
Almaty. September 26. Silkroadnews - The construction of the Iranian section of railway line Iran-Turkmenistan-Kazakhstan completed, reports the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG).
A member of the board of directors of "Iranian Railways" Ali Gharavi noted that the project for the construction of the railway in Iran-Turkmenistan Incheborun is completed and its commissioning will take place in late October of this year in the town of Incheborun at the Iran-Turkmenistan border in the presence of the presidents of Iran, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.
According to him, the new railway will significantly increase the volume of rail traffic between the countries of Central Asia and Iran, which, in turn, will create favorable conditions for the economic development of the region.
A. Gharavi also said that all facilities and equipment on Iranian territory, necessary for the operation of the railway Incheborun-Turkmenistan, are already fully prepared, and can only wait for the official ceremony of its opening.
It should be noted that the railroad Gurgon Incheborun-Turkmenistan-length 88 km connects Iran through Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Russia to CIS countries and China. It is part of the transnational transport corridor "North-South", which connects Northern Europe to Southeast Asia.
