Construction of the railway from China to Thailand will start at the end of the year

Almaty. September 25. Silkroadnews - At the end of the current year is planned to start construction of the railway, which will connect China and Thailand, reported the newspaper "People's Daily".
"This road will be the first in Thailand railway line with standard gauge, its length will be 840 km. This highway, passing through the territory of Laos, will be an important way of transporting passengers and cargo between the two countries",- said the publication with reference to the Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand Tanasaka Patimaprakona.
The road will start in the administrative center of the south-western Chinese province of Yunnan Kunming and will run up to the Thai province of Nong Khai, the country's capital Bangkok and Rayong province.
China is the largest trading partner of Thailand, bilateral trade last year totaled $63.6 billion.
