Cooperation between Russia and Iran on oil will not be barter
Almaty. June 1. KazTAG - Iran's cooperation with Russia in the oil trade would not be barter nature, reported Rosbalt with reference to the head of international department of the state National Iranian Oil Company Mohsen Kamsari.
According M.Kamsari, it is assumed that the Russian side will purchase and export Iranian oil, and for these money Iran can buy the goods it needs around the world.
The fact that Russia is in talks with Iran on the supply of barter goods in exchange for oil became known in early 2014. Iran's ambassador to Russia, Mehdi Sanai said that oil supplies could reach several hundred thousand barrels per day. He noted that the specific values will depend on routes and destinations. It is expected that oil from Iran will come through the ports of the Caspian Sea.
The technical capabilities of the Iranian Caspian terminals allow to export 500 thousand barrels of oil per day. Estimated price of the deal, according to some media reports, is $10 billion.
