CPC Central Committee proposed writing changes to Constitution

Beijing. February 26. Silkroadnews - The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China proposed introducing a number of changes to the Constitution of the country, Xinhua reports.
The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China proposed to include Xi Jinping’s Thoughts on Socialism with Chinese characteristics for a New Era into the country’s Constitution.
In addition, it was also proposed to remove the provision that the President and Vice-President of the People’s Republic of China “shall serve no more than two consecutive terms” from the country’s Constitution, and add a clause saying that all state functionaries shall take a public oath of allegiance to the Constitution upon assuming office.
The Communist Party of China Central Committee proposed to list supervisory commission as a new state organ in the Constitution, the publication reads.
