CPC increased oil export by 2% for five months of this year

Almaty. June 2. Silkroadnews – Within January-May 2016 the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) exported 18.428 million tonnes of oil, which is 1.99% higher to compare to the same period of 2015, the CPC press-release informs.
The data shows this May the oil exports amounted to 3.359 million tonnes against 3.594 million tonnes in the same month of last year.

The Caspian Pipeline Consortium has been established to construct the pipeline and export the Kazakhstani oil in transit through the territory of Russia. The CPC owns Tengiz-Novorossiysk oil pipeline with a total length of more than 1.5 thousand km connecting the fields of the west of Kazakhstan to the Russian Black Sea coast. The volume of the consortium oil export shipments made 42.759 million tonnes in 2015, which is 7% higher as compared to 2014.

The CPC shareholders are: Russian Federation (represented by “Transneft” – 24% and “CTC Company” – 7%) – 31%; Kazakhstan (represented by “KazMunayGas” – 19% and “Kazakhstan Pipeline Ventures LLC” – 1.75%) – 20.75%; Chevron Caspian Pipeline Consortium Company – 15%, LUKARCO B.V. – 12.5%, Mobil Caspian Pipeline Company – 7.5%, Rosneft-Shell Caspian Ventures Limited – 7.5%, BG Overseas Holding Limited – 2%, Eni International N.A. N.V. – 2% and Oryx Caspian Pipeline LLC – 1.75%.
