Customs Union procedure for export of diamonds change

Astana. May 16. Silkroadnews - Eurasian Economic Commission changes Customs Union procedure for export of diamonds.
"The EEC board decided to lift a requirement for diamonds producers to offer their gems on Customs Union market before exporting them to third party countries”, states the message distributed on Thursday.
As explained, producers are currently required to offer their gems on internal Customs Union market by publish their offer via EEC webpage. Only after not receiving a reply for over 10 working days since posting, the permission to sell to third parties is granted.
“This measure will allow to avoid administrative barriers when it comes to diamond export. Implementation of contractual obligations will take less times and it will make it easier to compete with foreign producers” the EEC Minister of Trade, Andrey Slepnev, stated.
