Bishkek. May 14. Silkroadnews – “Datka-Kemin” transmission line construction is one of the most demanding projects in the world, as the Deputy Director of the National Electric Grid of Kyrgyzstan (NEGK), Akylbek Tumenbayev, informs.
“The construction crew is working 3300 metres above the ground in permafrost area that is hard to access. There are places not accessible for machinery, so construction crew has to carry building support props. Those props weight between 16 and 50 tonnes each and there are 500 of them to be carried”, Mister Tumenbayev explained.
He says that transmission lines will carry electricity to 7 mountain districts of Kyrgyzstan.
