Beijing. March 2. Silkroadnews - The DPRK denied the information about alleged components for the production of chemical weapons supplying to Syria, the Kazakh Telegraph Agency (KazTAG) reports with reference to TASS.
“As had been elucidated several times, the DPRK does not have a single record of developing, producing and stockpiling a chemical weapon, and it is opposed to chemical weapons themselves,” the agencies quoting saying by the director of the press at the North Korean foreign ministry’s institute for American studies.
To remind, earlier last week The New York Times, citing the confidential report by the Security Council (UN Security Council) experts, reported on North Korea’s deliveries of acid-resistant tiles and some valves with thermometers to Syria allegedly used by Damascus for the production of chemical weapons. The materials allegedly were supplied to Syria from 2012 to 2017, the publication said.
Previously, the current Permanent Representative of the Syrian Arab Republic to the United Nations Bashar Jaafari denied such accusations.
