Due to the deteriorating economic situation in Russia Kyrgyzstan should develop anti-crisis measures, T.Sariyev said
Almaty. January 15. Silkroadnews - Due to the deteriorating economic situation in Russia, Kyrgyzstan should develop anti-crisis measures, said the Prime Minister of the KR Temir Sariyev, as reported by KyrTAG.
“Unfortunately, the economic situation (in Russia - Silkroadnews) is getting worsened. We shall perceive this fact quite clear. Prime Minister of Russia (Dmitriy Medvedev - Silkroadnews) said they expect the worst scenario of economic development. Thus, Russia’s citizens shall get prepared for more serious crisis. As confirmation the Finance Minister announced the current situation might be a repetition of the 1998 crisis. That is, here we have to tighten the belts and develop specific measures, including anti-crisis measures”, said T. Sariyev at the meeting of Coordination Council on Macroeconomics and Investment Policy of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic on Thursday.
He noted that last year Kyrgyzstan carried out about 40 anti-crisis measures, which even contributed to launch a new production and lay a good foundation for this year.
“For this year tomorrow we will approve the operational plan of the government, including the anti-crisis measures to keep the situation under control and have all the prerequisites for growth. We all have a strengthened obligation for this year. Growth should reach 5.2%. Inflation shall be kept within the numbers as provided by the national sustainable development strategies. We have to implement anti-crisis measures”, the Prime Minister concluded.
