Dushanbe’s prices for housing are the lowest among the capitals of Central Asian countries
Almaty. May 16. Silkroadnews – Dushanbe’s prices for housing are the lowest compared to other capitals of Central Asian countries, Tajik Telegraph Agency (TajikTA) reported.
“Compared with the capitals of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan the housing prices in the capital of Tajikistan are the lowest ones”, the report said.
As noted, a decline in the purchasing power of the population and banking sector’s liquidity problems are the reasons behind a fall in house prices.
The cost of housing in the capital of Tajikistan varies within a range of $472–$868 per square meter.
Meanwhile, the price of housing per square meter ranges within $550–$1500 in the capital of Kyrgyzstan Bishkek, $791–$1800 in the capital of Uzbekistan, $1195–$1927 in Almaty, which is one of the biggest cities of Kazakhstan, $1120–$1877 in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, $1500–$2750 in the capital of Turkmenistan Ashgabat, and $2785–$3034 in Moscow.
