Dushanbe will built one of the largest mosque in Central Asia costing $100 million by 2016
Almaty. July 16. Silkroadnews - The construction of a large mosque in Dushanbe will be completed in 2016, according to the Tajik news agency (TajikTA).
"Dushanbe continues to build one of the largest mosque in Central Asia costing $100 million, which is designed for 120 thousand worshipers at one time. The comletion of the mosque is scheduled for 2016", - said the head of the Committee for Architecture and Construction under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Abduvali Komilzoda.
It is noted that amomg $100 million invested in construction, $70 million was invested by Qatar, and the rest by Tajikistan.
The entire complex of the mosque and adjoining buildings on the drafting will occupy up to 8 hectares. Height of the dome of the mosque will be 47 m, the complex will have four minarets with a height of 65 m each.
