East Turkestan Islamic Movement linked to Urumqi attacks, Chinese MFA states

Almaty. June 11. Silkroadnews - “East Turkestan Islamic Movement” is linked to the recent terrorist attacks in Urumqi, as Xinhua reports quoting Chinese MFA.
“There is a significant amount of evidence that the members of the “East Turkestan Islamic Movement” promote religious extremism and use internet to share their terrorism-related tips” Chinese MFA official spokesperson is quoted as saying.
According to the information of Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous region, the East Turkestan Islamic Movement had planned the Urumqi attack. The plan was then implemented by their co-conspirators in China.  As reported earlier, the attack claimed 3 human lives and wounded 79 people.
“Terrorism is the humanity’s common enemy. China calls for international community to abandon “double standards” in its war on terrorism> China hopes its ant-terrorism efforts related the East Turkestan Islamic Movement and other terrorist organisations to be understood and supported”, the spokeswoman from the MFA of China said.
