EEU and China are working over agreement on exchange of data for transported goods and transport between the customs services

Almaty. March 25. Silkroadnews - The Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) and the People’s Republic of China (PRC) develop an agreement on the exchange of information between customs services of the two parties on the goods and vehicles traveling between the EU countries and China, said the statement by the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).

“Colleagues from China, with whom we are currently developing an agreement on the exchange of information between the two customs services on goods and vehicles moving between the countries  of union (EEU - Silkroadnews) and China, have already offered us to consider possibility of recognition of the Chinese authorized economic operators by our regulatory authorities and our operators in China by the Chinese regulatory authorities respectively,” - the statement by the member of the board and minister in charge of customs cooperation of the Eurasian Economic Commission, Mukai Kadyrkulov, said.

According to him, such a step will form a completely new format of foreign trade activities, as “allowing to move the products with almost no involvement of the customs authorities”.
The minister said, for the future the EEU countries “consider the possibility of mutual recognition of foreign economic activity (FEA) participants working in the status of authorized economic operators by the trade partners within the union”.

Among other areas in the EEU territory as developed to minimize the costs of business in the foreign economic activity implementation M. Kadyrkulov called the “single window” mechanism in the foreign economic activity of the EEU countries and current institution of preliminary information about goods imported into the EEU territory.

As noted, the mandatory preliminary information (PI) applies for the goods delivered by road transport since 2012, and for the goods imported by railway – since 2014. Starting from April 2017 PI Institute will also start working for the air transportation segment.
