EEU-EU joint forum will take place this autumn

Almaty. May 12. Silkroadnews – President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev during the meeting with Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia Valentina Matviyenko discussed the strengthening of cooperation between two countries, including the inter-parliamentary sphere, the press service of the head of state reports.

“Nursultan Nazarbayev emphasized the multilateral nature of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia based on the Treaty on good-neighborliness and alliance in the XXI century, which contributed to the establishment of the Eurasian Economic Union,” Akorda site wrote on Wednesday.

The President said the agreement is reached with the European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker to hold a joint forum of the Eurasian Economic Union and the European Union in autumn.

During the meeting the head of state also awarded Dostyk order of the II degree to V. Matviyenko for her contribution to friendship and cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia.
