Electricity of Upper Naryn cascade hydropower plan to import to Kazakhstan and China

Almaty. October 17. Silkroadnews - «Electricity generated at the Upper-Naryn cascade, will be exported in the three projects. The first area - in the framework of CASA-1000 project the electricity will be supplied on the route Kyrgyzstan - Tajikistan - Afghanistan - Pakistan. The second direction - Kazakhstan, the third direction - for large enterprises of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China",- said to KazTAG the Chairman of the Board of JSC "Upper Naryn HPP" Igor Gorbenko  on Thursday.
Recall, the cascade will involve Ak-Bulun HPP, Naryn HPP-1, 2, 3. Total installed capacity will reach 237.7 MW, the total annual electricity generation is planned in the amount of 942.4 million kWh, the cost of construction is estimated at $727 million.
Last Thursday at the site of the Ak-Bulun HPP and Naryn HPP performed first blastings.
