Beijing. June 22. Silkroadnews - The European Union will transfer the last 15-billion-euro disbursement to Greece, the Kazakh Telegraph Agency (KazTAG) reports referring to the newspaper Izvestia.
The last tranche of the European Stability Mechanism (ESM) financial assistance for Greece will amount to 15 billion euro, the report said on Friday.
Speaking at the press conference the president of the Eurogroup Mario Centeno also said, the EU had agreed on a package of easing the debt burden, including a 10-year extension on loans.
Reportedly, as a whole the European Union allocated to Greece 141.8 billion euros, of which about 130.9 billion euros have not been repaid. The average duration of loans is more than 30 years.
Earlier, as noted, the Greek parliament voted for a set of laws to complete the creditors’ third assessment of the reform program. New measures of austerity raised another wave of protests and strikes, in which about 20 thousand people took part in Athens and Thessaloniki.
