EU will allocate €1.4 billion to support Afghanistan until 2020

Almaty. October 13. Silkroadnews - EU will allocate €1.4 billion to support Afghanistan until 2020, informs Afghan News Agency (AfTAG).
"The assistance will be used for agricultural development, health, and improve democracy. This agreement was signed by the current Minister of Finance Omar Asrat Zahilval and EU Commissioner Andris Piebalgs at the annual conference of the World Bank and the IMF in Washington",- says the publication on Monday.
The EU Commission has announced that these investments will impact on the quality of life of Afghan society until 2020.
A.Piebalgs announced that the EU remains a 20% quota for reforms in Afghanistan. According to EU officials, this contribution of €337 million will be used for the development of agriculture, €274 million will be spent on health care, €319 million for the reconstruction of the army, and improve of law enforcement, €363 million to improve the democratic foundations and solving problems in other social sectors.
