Almaty. May 18. Silkroadnews – The leading European banks are confident about reliability of doing business with Iran and are ready to start cooperation with the country in the coming months, Mehrdad Emadi, consultant at the British company Betamatrix International Consultancy, believes, Trend reports.

“Based on actual observations pertaining to the enquiries made by the leading European banks, as well as their efforts on undertaking country-specific risk assessment, I think we will see a gradual return of these banks toward the resumption of business dealings with Iran in the next 15 to 18 months,” said M. Emadi.

According to him, the resumption of business with Iran by the EU banks will happen even if a new administration in Washington proceeds with an aggressively hostile foreign policy toward Iran, which may increase the risk of doing business with Iran, though, if that is a case, such resumption may be carried out more slowly.

He also said, it will be hard for the US to convince its European allies not to have business with Iran in case Tehran complies with the provisions of the nuclear agreement entered into force last January.

The expert believes that the United States, in fact, will be the first to lose if decide to continue such a policy, especially given Iran’s position as one of the key players to ensure stability in the region.

Iranian officials accuse Israel and Saudi Arabia of promoting “Iranophobia” ideas as a tool to sabotage the country’s nuclear program, M. Emadi says.

In his opinion, the leadership of Saudi Arabia and the government of Israel have verifiably evaluated their efforts since the last year to prevent a comprehensive return of Iran to the global economy.

Nevertheless, experts’ projections are that within 15-24 months Iran will return its status of a full partner in the economy of the region and the world economic market in energy, automobile manufacturing, biotechnology and tourism.
