European countries should fight drug trafficking more actively, Iran believes
Beijing. Jul 26. Silkroadnews - Despite the fact that Iran is fighting against illicit drug trafficking on behalf of the world, none of the international bodies and European countries have been committed to their responsibilities, the Iranian Telegraph Agency (IrTAG) wrote referring to Iran’s Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli said.
Rahmani Fazli also stressed, the illicit drugs turnover in Europe is 60 billion dollars, the Islamic Republic News Agency wrote.
Referring to Europeans’ claim on implementing anti-money laundering rule, he said why aren’t they releasing the least information on fighting narcotics turnover and money laundering, the report reads.
Rahmani Fazli stressed that it is necessary to take measures with account of the international and regional efforts to exert pressure on Iran, as well as on some military actions, including shootings at the borders.
He also called on other countries to promote cooperation in the economic, cultural and political fields.
