Almaty. March 3. Silkroadnews - Every year Kyrgyzstan produces up to 90 thousand tons of oil, informs KyrTAG with reference to the materials prepared for the Forum "Kyrgyzstan - Tatarstan".
"The volume of crude oil produced in Kyrgyzstan in recent years, ranging from 70 to 90 thousand tons. The only oil company is JSC "Kyrgyzneftegaz", a majority of the shares (85%) belongs to the state", - stated in the materials.
It is also noted that in Kyrgyzstan, according to estimates, undiscovered own reserves of oil and gas amounts to 289 million tons.
Natural gas production in 2012 amounted to 28.5 million cubic meters, which is high for the country's total volume of natural gas in recent years, reaching 10.7% of the volume of imports of natural gas from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, which make up 300 million cubic meters.
