Ex-chief of Afghanistan’s intelligence announced new political party formation

Almaty. July 17. Silkroadnews – The former head of the National Directorate of Security Rahmatullah Nabil announced formation of a new political party, Afghan Telegraph Agency (AfTAG) reports.
At the meeting in Kabul Nabil said that 74 people had joined the leadership of the new party called Mehwar. According to him, the party is not going to support the course of the government of national unity.
In addition, the ex-intelligence head sharply criticized the Afghan authorities and called for immediate measures to take the country out of the crisis, Ariana-TV reported.
To remind, at the end of 2015 Nabil tendered resignation. Prior to this the statesman sharply criticized the policy of his country’s government.
The announcement of a new political party formation was made shortly after the trilateral talks in Turkey with participation of the Executive Secretary of the Islamic Society of Afghanistan, the governor of Balkh Province, Atta Mohammad Noor, the second deputy CEO Mohammad Mohaqiq, who leads the Islamic Unity Party of Afghanistan, and first vice-president of Afghanistan, Abdul Rashid Dostum, leading the National Islamic Movement of Afghanistan. The meeting was aimed at creating a new opposition alliance.
