Expenditure on research and development in China, the second consecutive year exceeded 2% of GDP
Almaty. November 24. Silkroadnews - Expenditure on research and development in China, the second consecutive year exceeded 2% of GDP, in 2014 amounted to 2.05% of GDP, which is 0.04 percentage points higher than the previous year, reported Xinhua news agency.
As reported, the data was provided by the statistical summary, publicated by State Statistical Office under the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Finance of the PRC.
It is pointed out that last year China spent for these purposes 1 trillion 301.5 billion yuan, or 116.9 billion yuan (9.9%) more than in 2013. In particular, basic research took 61.35 billion yuan (up 10.6%), the application - 139 85 billion (10.2%), and experimental development - 1 trillion 100.3 billion (9 ,8%). The shares of these destinations accounted for 4.7%, 10.8% and 84.5%, respectively.
