False veterans of Afghan war received about 24 million som income support in Kyrgyzstan
Beijing. March 2. Silkroadnews - 46 false veterans of Afghan war have been granted about 24 million som income support in Kyrgyzstan, the Kyrgyz Telegraph Agency (KyrTAG) reported with reference to the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Kyrgyz Republic on Friday.
The Military Prosecutor’s Office found some of the officials of the Osh, Nookat, Kadamjay and Kara-Suu Districts of Osh Oblast colluded with the civilians and recorded them as participants of the military operations in Afghanistan.
The Military Prosecutor’s Office initiated several criminal cases against the mentioned districts’ military commissariats officials. Cases have been brought on the fact of crimes as stipulated by the articles on abuse of office, forgery and fraud of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
46 “false Afghans” were granted false certificates allowing to receive 6,000 som as income support on a monthly basis.
Losses by the state budget, as a result of illegal actions by the military commissariats officials and lack of due control by the State Committee for Defense Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, totaled more than 23.7 million som for the period from January 2010 to December 2017, the statement reads.
At present the measures are being taken to recover the damage caused to the state.
