First freight train from China arrived in London
Almaty. January 19. Silkroadnews – The first freight train arrived in London from China on January 18, foreign media reported.
The train departed from the Chinese city of Yiwu (East Zhejiang) on January 1 and in 18 days overcome a distance of 12 thousand km. It has passed through Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Poland, Germany, Belgium and France, from where arrived in London through the tunnel under the English Channel. The train brought 58 containers with Chinese products, including clothing, textiles, household goods.
Such cooperation is expected to contribute to the strengthening of trade relations between China and the United Kingdom, growing China’s contacts with Western Europe and serving the objectives of the Chinese initiative “One Belt, One Road”.
