Beijing. June 6. Silkroadnews - The first three-level crossing at the intersection of Nusratullo Makhsum and Gafurov Avenue (82nd microdistrict) will be put into operation in Dushanbe in early September this year to mark another anniversary of Tajikistan’s independence celebration, the Tajik Telegraph Agency (TajikTA) reported on Wednesday.
As confirmed by Tajikistan’s Ministry of Transport, the entire multi-level flyover will be put into operation in September, within the country’s independence celebration events.
Yesterday a trial traffic was opened on the lower road part.
The construction of the flyover within the framework of the project on modernization of the regional highway Dushanbe-Tursunzade, specifically a part of road from the monument of Abuali ibn Sino to the western gates of Dushanbe, started in September 2016. In February this year the construction of a second flyover began in Carabolo district.
To implement this project, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development provided Tajikistan with a $35 million loan and technical assistance in the amount of $3 million. An appropriate agreement was signed in the summer of 2015.
The project is implemented by China’s company Xinjiang Beixin Road & Bridge Group Co., Ltd.
