Former Taiwan leader Ma Ying-jeou sentenced to 4 months in prison for leaking classified information

Beijing. May 17. Silkroadnews - Former Taiwan leader Ma Ying-jeou was sentenced to four months in prison after being found guilty of facilitating the leakage of classified information, Ecns.cn portal reported.
The verdict was voiced the Taiwan High Court, overturning a previous not guilty verdict from a lower court.
Last March Ma was found not guilty of leaking secret information and defamation. Later though he faced another trial after state prosecutors brought new charges against him.
The former leader of Taiwan said that he will appeal the verdict.
